Richard Starkey, born July 7, 1940, known by his stage name Ringo Starr, is a popular English musician, singer, and actor, best known as the drummer for The Beatles. Ringo Starr generally sang at least one song on each studio album, as part of establishing the vocal personality of all four members. After the breakup of The Beatles on April 10, 1970, Ringo Starr released two albums before the end of that year. The 1973 album Ringo remains Ringo Starr's biggest-selling collection.
