The New York Giants are headquartered, train, and play their home games at Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in the suburb of East Rutherford, New Jersey. The New York Giants have won four NFL Championships and two Super Bowls. For most of the the team's history, the New York Giants have worn blue helmets, red trim, and either blue or white jerseys. In 1961, the club debuted a white lower-case ny logo. By that time, the New York Giants wore gray pants. In 2005, the New York Giants introduced a new white jersey that is a more accurate depiction of the road jersey the team wore in the early 1960s, as red stripes were added to the sleeves and the numbers became solid red, rather than red trimmed in blue as had previously been the case. The New York Giants were founded in 1925 by original owner Tim Mara with an investment of $500 and became one of the first teams of the NFL. After the 1963 season, the New York Giants fell apart quickly, finishing 2-10-2 in 1964 and beginning an 18-season playoff drought. In 1970, Tarkenton's fourth with the Giants, the New York Giants showed marked improvement, fielding their most competitive team since the 1963 NFL finalist. After the 1970 season the New York Giants dropped to 4-10, resulting in Tarkenton being traded back to the Vikings.
